The history of the Independent Flag Football League traces its roots to our softball program. Following our 2000 softball seasons, CATS Executive Director D.P. McIntire sought an off-season activity for the organization's softball players to take part in. First trying to organize individual teams to participate in another league, ultimately due to scheduling conflicts the organization chose to launch its own - and the IFFL was born.
