General Information
Capital Area Team Sports is a non-profit corporation organized under North Carolina law. It is governed by a seven member Board of Directors, with its day to day operations being managed by its officers along with an Executive Director.
Board of Directors
The majority of the members of the Board of Directors are elected by the membership annually (if not more frequently) to terms that expire every January 20th. The President and Executive Director of the organization also serve on the board as ex-officio directors.
On December 1st, our members convened in an annual meeting and elected our directors for 2008. Current directors are Robert C. Alford, Steven R. Cruickshank, Shawn H. Weems, Patrick A. Weiss, and Robert J. Wilcox.
Officers
The President of Capital Area Team Sports is elected by the membership to a term of two years, ending on March 4th in odd numbered years. All other officers are nominated by the organization's Executive Director, and confirmed by the Board of Directors. Current officers are:

Executive Director
The founder of Capital Area Team Sports, D.P. McIntire, also serves as the organization's Executive Director. The Executive Director is chosen annually by the Board of Directors, serving at their pleasure.
