Founded on December 20, 1994 as a company softball team by Glenn Bronstein and D.P. McIntire, the Carolina Colts began play on April 11, 1995, beginning what ultimately would grow into Capital Area Team Sports as a whole.  The Colts finished 4-12 in their inaugural season, but rebounded to capture the first of the organization's eight men's softball league championships that fall, thanks to a 10-2 record.  Subsequent Colt titles came in 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2007, with the team at one point going an unbelievable 326 days without a regular season loss in 2000-2001.

The days of dominance over its opponents may be over for the Colts, as the team's average age is far closer to 40 than it was to 20 back when the team began, but age, guile and experience still give youth and power a run for their money every Tuesday and Thursday night in Raleigh!
