With a five-run sixth inning, the Raleigh Red Devils pulled away from the Triangle Shockers Thursday night to secure a 20-11 victory along with second place in the MLS' inaugural regular season. Bruce Wilson, Zack Anderton, Mark Knudsen and Jimmie Overton each provided multiple hits for the Sons of Satan, but the big offensive star of the night was Lucas Wright, who went 5-for-5 with 2 RBI and 10 total bases on the night, providing some pop to the rear echelon of the Red Devil lineup.

Though these two teams have already met three times, a fourth meeting between them may be in the cards. While the win moved the Red Devils into second place, the loss puts the Triangle Shockers in third, pitting them against the Capital City 95'ers in the first of two one-game playoffs Thursday night. Should the Shockers end their recent skid and knock off the 95'ers, they'll advance to the second one-game playoff against... the Raleigh Red Devils.
